Eastern Townships Docks guarantees its boat lifts and docks against any defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period for its canopy covers, boat lifts, and docks (excluding mechanical winches, electric motors, solar kits, and hydraulic pumps) is five (5) years. The warranty period for mechanical winches, electric motors, solar kits, and hydraulic pumps is two (2) years.
During the warranty period, Eastern Townships Docks, at its discretion, will repair or replace the defective product free of charge.
However, if Eastern Townships Docks determines that the warranty conditions have not been met, repair and shipping costs will be charged to the buyer.
The following exclusions apply to this warranty:
We use cedar for the decking of our pile docks and floating docks.
Cedar is a natural wood that has not undergone any treatment.
We recommend allowing the cedar to age naturally, which will result in the wood graying due to sun exposure.
If you wish to stain or apply a product to the wood, that remains at your discretion. We do not recommend any specific product.
With standard legs, it is possible to install the lift in a water depth of 4 feet. Using 6-foot extension legs, you can install your lift in a water depth of 6 feet. It is not recommended to install a lift in a water depth greater than 6 feet, as this would excessively increase the center of gravity.
When choosing a lift, there are two essential factors to check:
When you need to choose between a floating dock and a dock on posts, it is important to know the water depth where you want to install your dock.
If the water depth is less than 6 feet, we recommend a dock on posts.
If the water depth exceeds 6 feet, or if the water level varies very rapidly and unpredictably, a floating dock would then be recommended.
