What type of wood is used for the decking of our docks?

We use cedar for the decking of our pile docks and floating docks.

Cedar is a natural wood that has not undergone any treatment.

We recommend allowing the cedar to age naturally, which will result in the wood graying due to sun exposure.

If you wish to stain or apply a product to the wood, that remains at your discretion. We do not recommend any specific product.

What water depth is required for installing a boat lift?

With standard legs, it is possible to install the lift in a water depth of 4 feet. Using 6-foot extension legs, you can install your lift in a water depth of 6 feet. It is not recommended to install a lift in a water depth greater than 6 feet, as this would excessively increase the center of gravity.

How to choose the right boat lift model?

When choosing a lift, there are two essential factors to check:

  1. You need to know the weight of your vessel, including the weight of the engine, full fuel tank, and accessories. The lift’s capacity should be greater than the total weight of your vessel.
  2. You also need to check the width of your vessel, as our lifts do not all have the same interior width. It is important to ensure that your vessel can enter the lift. We recommend a space of 6 inches on each side of your vessel during entry and exit from the lift.
What type of dock do I need?

When you need to choose between a floating dock and a dock on posts, it is important to know the water depth where you want to install your dock.

If the water depth is less than 6 feet, we recommend a dock on posts.

If the water depth exceeds 6 feet, or if the water level varies very rapidly and unpredictably, a floating dock would then be recommended.

How should I install the canopy on my lift?
  • To install the canopy on your roof, start by tightening the straps at the corners first, then the sides.
  • Subsequently, it is necessary to retighten the straps two days after installation.
  • It is very important to regularly check the canopy throughout the summer.
